Simple Business for iOS

Your records. Your device.
Your control.

Your business records stay on your device. Advertising, App Store purchases and messages you choose to send to support involve separate services, explained below.

Privacy policy · Updated 27 October 2026 · Developer: Akshay Meena

No business-record cloud account is required.

We do not operate a server that receives or stores your invoices, customer list, products, stock or expenses. This does not mean that advertising and purchase services collect no data.

01. Scope and contact

This policy covers Simple Business for iPhone and iPad, published by Akshay Meena, and its support pages. For questions or privacy requests, email amcorpconnect@gmail.com.

02. Business records on your device

Information you enter—such as business and customer details, invoices, products, purchases, stock, expenses, bank details for invoices, logos and signatures—is stored locally to provide the app’s business features. No Simple Business user account is required.

The live records are kept in the app’s protected storage and are excluded by the app from automatic device cloud backup. The app does not send these record contents to the developer or include them in advertising requests. Keep a separate backup; reinstalling the app is not a way to recover lost records.

03. Backups, PDFs and sharing

You can create password-encrypted financial-year backups and export PDFs or CSV reports. Backups created by the app remain on the device until you choose a separate destination. Backups use the iOS .sbbackup format.

Saving, sharing, printing or uploading through Files or another app sends the selected content to the destination you choose. That provider’s privacy terms apply. An exported invoice or report is not password-encrypted by the app; share it only with intended recipients.

We do not have your backup password or a recovery copy. Deleting the app does not delete copies already exported, emailed, printed or uploaded elsewhere. You control those copies and their retention.

04. Advertising and privacy choices

The Free version uses Google AdMob and requires an internet connection. Google’s advertising and consent software can process information such as IP address and approximate location, device or app identifiers, ads shown and interactions, and crash/performance diagnostics. This is used for ad delivery, measurement, analytics, fraud prevention and service operation. Google may process this information outside your country under its own safeguards and policies.

The app uses Google’s User Messaging Platform to obtain required consent information before requesting ads. When a regional privacy-options entry is required, it is available in More → Settings → Privacy options. Regional consent and Apple’s tracking permission are separate choices.

For Free users, the app may ask for Apple’s optional tracking permission. If you allow it, Google AdMob may use the device’s advertising identifier for personalised advertising and measurement across other companies’ apps and websites, subject to your regional privacy choices. If you decline or tracking is restricted, the app does not request access to that identifier, and disables publisher ad personalisation and publisher first-party identifiers. You can still use the Free version with ads and an internet connection; declining does not require a purchase. Non-personalised advertising can still involve other identifiers, approximate location and diagnostic data described above.

You can review or change tracking permission in your device’s Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Users with a recognised active Yearly Pro subscription or Lifetime Pro purchase are not asked for tracking permission by the app, do not receive app ads, and the app does not start new ad requests for them. Your invoices, customer records, bank details and other local business records are not sent to advertising services.

Read Google’s Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from apps that use its services. We do not sell your locally stored business records.

05. App Store purchases

Apple processes Yearly Pro subscriptions and Lifetime Pro purchases. Simple Business checks Apple-verified transaction information, including product identity, subscription expiration and entitlement or revocation status, to unlock and restore eligible purchases. This does not require an app account and does not upload your business records to the developer.

Yearly Pro is a one-year auto-renewable subscription. It renews unless cancelled in Apple Account subscription settings. The app displays the localized price supplied by Apple before purchase. Lifetime Pro is a separate one-time purchase. Active Yearly Pro subscribers and recognised Lifetime Pro owners can use the app without advertising, online and offline.

We do not receive your payment-card number through the app. Eligible purchases can be restored using the same Apple Account; purchasing or restoring may require internet access. Apple’s purchase, payment, cancellation, refund and privacy terms apply. See Apple’s Privacy Policy.

06. PIN, Face ID and Touch ID

Optional app locking uses a locally protected PIN verifier and the device’s supported biometric authentication. Apple performs Face ID or Touch ID authentication; Simple Business does not receive or store your face or fingerprint templates. Security settings are stored using the device Keychain.

Encrypted backups use a key derived from the password you provide. Device protection, app locking and encryption reduce risk but cannot guarantee protection on a compromised device. Keep your device updated and install the app only from trusted sources.

07. Support messages and this website

If you email support, we receive the email address, message and attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond, troubleshoot and meet applicable obligations. Email providers process these messages under their policies. Send only what is necessary; redact customer, financial and other private information.

Support correspondence is retained only as reasonably needed to handle the request and applicable record-keeping obligations. You can ask about access, correction or deletion by email.

These support pages do not include developer-added analytics, advertising, tracking cookies, account registration or file-upload forms. They are hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub logs visitors’ IP addresses for security purposes, including when visitors are not signed in. See the GitHub Privacy Statement. External links have their own policies.

08. Your choices and retention

You control the information entered into the app and the records or exported copies you retain. Use the app’s available edit, archive or delete controls as appropriate. Archiving a customer or product hides it from normal selection but does not erase historical invoices.

Deleting the app removes its local app data; exported copies and some system-managed Keychain information may remain. Protect any records you need with an independent backup before deletion. We cannot delete a recipient’s copy of a file on your behalf.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict use of personal information. Contact us about information sent to support. Use Apple, Google or your selected storage provider’s controls for data they process; we do not hold a central copy of your local business database.

09. Children and policy changes

Simple Business is a business-record tool, not a service directed to children. Please contact us if you believe a child has sent personal information to support so that we can assess and address it.

We may update this policy as the app or services change. The updated date identifies the current version. Material changes will be reflected in the app or these pages as appropriate.
